Would redefine scope - future exploration.

Web Push / ntfy (see the ntfy channel idea) covers most phone-notification need far more cheaply, so a native app is only worth it for richer on-device features (background location, native alert sounds/criticals, offline history). Park until the push story is exercised and there's a concrete gap only native can fill.
